Gap Fit Golf — Fitting & Build Bench
The people

Four People, One Loft Gauge, No Sales Floor

Everybody here fits and everybody here builds. There is no separate sales role, which means the person who writes your spec sheet is the same person who has to make the club match it.

RK
Founder · Wedge and gapping work

Ruth Ann Kolterman

Ruth Ann spent eleven years behind the counter at a municipal pro shop before opening this one, which is where the gapping obsession started — she got tired of selling golfers a new set to solve a problem that a bending bar would have fixed in ten minutes.

She takes most of the wedge sessions and all of the full-set gapping work. If your question is “why does my 100-yard shot feel like a guess,” she is the one to book.

GP
Build room · Assembly and repair

Gerald Pflug

Gerald came out of thirty years of industrial machining and treats a golf club like a part with a tolerance. He pulls, tips, epoxies, and swingweights everything that leaves the building, and he keeps a written log of every build so a club can be re-created exactly two years later.

He is also the reason we can turn most re-shaft jobs around in a single afternoon rather than sending them out.

SO
Short game · Turf interaction

Simone Okafor

Simone played collegiate golf in Kansas and coached junior short game for six seasons before moving to the fitting side. She reads turf contact better than anyone here — she can usually tell from the strike mark on the sole whether a golfer needs less bounce or simply a shallower setup.

Junior sizing and short-game sessions run through her.

TL
Long clubs · Launch data

Trevor Lindgren

Trevor handles the driver and fairway bench and maintains the doppler unit. He is the sceptic on staff about launch numbers — he will throw out a session's worth of data if the ball batch changed partway through, and he insists on a minimum shot count before anyone draws a conclusion.

He also runs our cold-weather calibration in early spring, which is why our carry numbers hold up in April.

How Assignments Work

Book a service and we will put you with whoever specialises in it. If you have worked with someone here before and want them again, write the name in the notes field and we will do our best. Saturday mornings are the hardest slots to match a specific fitter to.
